ABOUT NSF (UK) formerly NSSFF

 

The NSF (UK) Sports day started in 2012, inspired by the London Olympics games. It is an annual popular event and was initially supported by the Community games (Olympic legacy). It is our own mini Olympics held in the spirit of friendship, solidarity, fair play and competition. Please visit the community games web site for more information.

 

​We are a collaboration of alumni schools or associations with Nigerian connection resident in the UK.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

​

Our mission is to increase the awareness of the importance of education in Nigeria. (Download our constitution here).

 

We host two annual public events, the sports day and a lecture. We use both as a vehicle to increase  awareness of the alumni associations and their fundraising activities.

 

SPORTS DAY

 

On the event day, representatives of participating member alumni schools & associations  will compete in various sporting and family fun events. In addition, there will be food, live entertainment, exhibitions, stalls, and other promotional activities. It is envisaged to be an all-round fun day for the entire family.

 

Every year we provide a free platform and support to Charities and other agencies that are doing vital work in our community. We are proud to have supported a few Charities including ,The Pensions Advisory Service, WaterAid, ACLT , World Child Cancer Charity and the Sickle Cell Society.
